Meet Dr. Lin

Dr. Philip Lin, DDS, MD, is a board-certified dual degree oral & maxillofacial surgeon who completed his six-year oral surgery residency at the University of Kentucky.  As part of his training, he earned his medical degree and completed an internship year in General Surgery and training in Anesthesia.

Dr. Lin attended Bainbridge High School and Whitman College in Walla Walla.  He moved to Iowa where he conducted biomedical research and earned his dental degree at the University of Iowa. After dental school, he completed a general practice residency in hospital dentistry at the Rochester General Hospital in New York.  He then went on to complete an oral & maxillofacial surgery internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Texas.

While in residency, Dr. Lin enjoyed volunteering regularly at the Lexington mission Clinic and Remote Area Medical Volunteer Crops.  He has also published in scientific journals and edited board review book for dental students.  With training in both medicine and dentistry, Dr. Lin is very skilled at managing patients with complex medical and dental diseases.

Before moving back to the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Lin practiced full spectrum of oral & maxillofacial surgery in Chicago for several years, including facial trauma, reconstructive jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery), oral pathology, dentoalveolar surgery, tissue regeneration and bone grafting, dental implants, full arch reconstruction (all-on-x), pediatric and adult anesthesia.  Being a member of several professional organizations, Dr. Lin has always kept his knowledge up-to-date and continues to refine his surgical skills to provide the best treatments and care for his patients.

When not working, Dr. Lin and his wife enjoy hiking, fishing, and traveling.  After living in many different states for school and training, Dr. Lin looks forward to finally making their home in the Pacific Northwest.  With interest in broad spectrum of oral & maxillofacial surgery practice, Dr. Lin is very excited to bring his extensive experiences to serve our community.
