Dr. Philip Lin, DDS, MD, is a board-certified dual degree oral & maxillofacial surgeon who completed his six-year oral surgery residency at the University of Kentucky.
Our office is conveniently located in the Factoria area of Bellevue, at the intersection of I-90 and I-405. Ample free parking is available and we are located on the first floor for convenient access. A consultation appointment is required prior to any surgery. This appointment is used to perform a clinical exam, complete any required x-rays, to review any treatments necessary, and to answer any questions you may have. Educational materials such as brochures, photos, videos, and models are available to explain certain procedures. Occasionally, surgery can be performed on the same day as the consultation.
Our office is equipped and the staff is trained in the administration of a range of anesthesia techniques. This may range from local anesthesia (similar to numbing of the mouth for dental fillings) to nitrous oxide (laughing gas) to intravenous sedation and general anesthesia. The type of anesthesia used is dependent upon the type of procedure performed, the patient's health, Dr. Lin’s recommendation, as well as the patient's preference. More complex anesthesia cases may be performed in a hospital operating room.
Are small titanium posts that are surgically placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. These posts act as tooth root substitutes. The bone bonds with the titanium, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth. Another post is then secured to the implant, to which the replacement teeth are attached. Implants help preserve facial structure, preventing the bone deterioration that occurs when teeth are missing, and can help stabilize loose dentures. Dr. Lin uses only the finest available implants, from world class manufacturers who have had a long history in the industry and produce the highest quality products.
